Possessing the 4th busiest airport in Europe, Frankfurt city can be reached directly from many destinations throughout Europe including Dublin, Paris and Milan. Frankfurt airport is the main airport and is located approximately 12km from the city centre. It is an important hub for Lufthansa and also services British Airways and Croatia airlines. The city can be reached from the airport via S-Bahn, bus and taxi. Frankfurt-Hahn airport also bears the name of the city but is actually located equidistant with Luxembourg. It is still an alternative means of reaching Frankfurt, but to do so will require traversing a 70km journey via train, bus or car rental. It is a main hub for Ryanair who fly here from a huge number of destinations, and Wizz Air also offer flights to here from several European destinations such as Budapest and Gdansk.
An important financial hub, Frankfurt also has a rich historical aspect.
