Bus Stations in Spain

Alsa is the main bus company in Spain, offering intercity connections within the country and international services to France, Germany and other European countries. Bilmanbus offers journeys primarily between the Basque Country and the towns of the Costa del Levante. Vibasa takes routes from the Basque country to other parts of Spain such as Galicia and Catalonia, and the Burundian and The Roncalesa make more local connections between the Basque Country, La Rioja and Navarra. The Iberian Peninsula has always been very well connected to the rest of the continent by road, especially in recent decades when new sections of motorways were paved and opened. Bus travel has become a popular mode of transport with Spain, for both short trips and longer journeys. The main bus stations - including Seville Station Square, Terminus Bilbao and Barcelona Nord - are served by a selection of companies to purchase tickets from.

Station Madrid Avenida de America

Located outside the main metro station, this major hub for bus services connects the major locations in Madrid via multiple lines and routes. In addition, long-distance services travel to almost all major cities in Spain, Europe and North Africa. Alsa, Continental Auto and PLM Buses cover most of the routes operating from the station.

Barcelona-Nord Station

>Barcelona-Nord is the most important bus station in Catalonia, and is an important interchange for various modes of travel. It has buses to almost all Catalan and Spanish regions, as well as many European cities. Companies such as Sagalés, Alsa, Cersa, Samar, Barcelona Bus, iDBUS, Megabus and Eurolines operate from here.

Seville Station Square

This is the international bus station in the Andalusian capital which, in the future, will also house a subway station. In addition to long distance bus services that travel to all major Spanish cities, Portugal and North Africa. The companies that serve these lines include Eurolines, Checkers, Socibus, Leda and Transtres.

Termibus Bilbao

Built in 1996, Terminus Bilbao has become the most important station in the Basque Country, offering both national and international connections. It is located in a popular, busy location near the city centre and close to a motorway, giving easy access to bus services. Alsa, Pesa, Autobuses La Union, Bilman Bus, Socibus and Bizkaibus are some of the major companies operating from here.
