Buses from Cardiff to Bristol
There are a number of options for taking the bus to Bristol from Cardiff. National Express operate a regular schedule seven days a week, with up to twelve services departing from Sophia Gardens in Cardiff every day. Starting in the early hours of the morning, National Express buses run until late in the evening. Megabus also operate a frequent daily schedule and depart from Kingsway in the city centre. Both the National Express and Megabus services are direct, with the average journey duration being just over one hour.
Trains from Cardiff to Bristol
Operated by First Great Western, direct trains between Cardiff and Bristol depart Cardiff Central Station at half-hourly intervals throughout the day. Running from early in the morning until late at night, the services take approximately fifty minutes to reach Bristol Temple Meads. The schedule is slightly reduced on Sundays, with direct services leaving every hour. First Great Western also operate a regular service to Bristol Parkway which takes just over thirty minutes.
