Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconClean train
IconFree wifi
Disadvantages
IconNot on time
It was very easy to book the tickets to Zagreb online. The staff were very nice as always and the train was very hygienic inside. The free wifi worked very well as well as the free 230V sockets. I booked seat 17 in carriage 2. As I travelled straight to Zagreb without changing trains, I "only" travelled for around 9.5 hours. The train was delayed by 12 minutes, but I didn't mind. As always, the price-performance ratio is very good.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconPartly old trains
I travelled from Vienna to Zagreb by train on 15/08/2024. The journey started at 12:25 at Vienna Meidling station and ended at 20:47 in Zagreb. So the journey took 8 hours and 22 minutes. I had to change trains once in Villach. Both trains were clean, but I got on a rather old train in Wifi in Wifi, which was a pity for me. However, the first train to Villach was tip top. I would recommend anyone who wants to travel to Zagreb to familiarise themselves with the train set beforehand. Nevertheless, it was a nice journey.
Advantages
IconEnvironmentally friendly
IconFavourable
Disadvantages
IconTakes a very long time
IconChange often
IconToo many people on the train
My review of the train journey from Vienna to Zagreb: The journey was okay overall, but there are a few points that could be improved. The journey simply took too long, which made the experience a bit tiring. In addition, the train was overcrowded, which significantly affected comfort. On a positive note, however, the relatively cheap price and the eco-friendliness of the journey should be emphasised. I therefore give it 3 stars.
Advantages
IconNo high capacity utilisation and pleasant atmosphere on the train
IconFriendly staff
IconComfortable seats with sufficient equipment
IconNo changeover necessary
IconCleanliness and hygiene
Disadvantages
IconDelay of 50 minutes due to border control
The train from Vienna to Zagreb was not so busy, so it was not so noisy in the passenger compartment. Unfortunately, checks were carried out at the Croatian border, so the train arrived in Zagreb with a delay of 50 minutes. I didn't have to change trains until Zagreb. Otherwise, the train was clean and the toilets looked hygienic. The staff also spoke German and were very friendly at the ticket inspection. The seats were comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and wifi.
