Arriving train station: Ciudad Real Railway Station is about 7min (1.7 miles-2.8 km) by car, about 18min via metro and approx. 18min (0.8 miles-1.4 km) on foot from the city centre. Renfe, the nationally-owned and operated rail network company is only provider of trains from Puertollano to Ciudad Real. Renfe uses AVE high-speed trains on approx. one-third of the scheduled trips on the route from Puertollano Railway Station to Ciudad Real Railway Station which can travel at speeds near 200 mph for convenient express service.

Ciudad Real is a city in the community of Castilla-La Mancha in south-central Spain with hot summers and moderate winters. Try to time your reservation between noon and 02:00 p.m. so you can enjoy the popular clock display featuring the iconic Don and his famous sidekick. Lovers of seafood should checkout La Casuca restaurant which is a favourite among local patrons. Make sure you order the grilled salmon or grilled swordfish which are house specialities and top it off with one of their signature desserts.
All Renfe trains offer First Class, Second Class Premium and Second Class seating arrangements with various additional TREN HOTEL options available on long-distance trains. First Class passengers enjoy on-board Club Space, reclining seats and restaurant service among other benefits. There is designated seating for persons with reduced mobility or disabilities in each car and Renfe introduces Atendo service which provides assistance on/off trains as well as provide information and guidance at stations for the visual or hearing impaired.
Three pieces of luggage including personal items are allowed but are subject to weight (under 22 lbs or 10 kg) and size restrictions. Folded bicycles are allowed on board AVE and long-distance trains if space is available. One pet is allowed per passenger provided it is transported in a pet carrier and is less than 22 lbs (10 kg) in weight. All trains are equipped with vending machines but only long-distance trains have cafeteria cars for food and refreshments.
