Advantages
IconSmooth and relaxed journey
IconIt went quickly and we were not late
IconEverything was very clean and you could sit comfortably
Disadvantages
IconThe wifi only works partially
IconThe board bistro only had a small, limited selection
IconThe socket at our place did not work
Travelling by Eurostar from Essen to Paris was a pleasant experience overall. However, there were some aspects that could be improved. Let's start with the positive aspects. The comfort during the journey was extremely satisfactory. The seats were comfortable and the interior of the train exuded a pleasant atmosphere. The staff on board were extremely helpful and friendly. The service was prompt and courteous. Which definitely contributed to a positive overall impression. The cleanliness of the WC was commendable, although it was a little cramped. Nevertheless, hygiene was clearly a concern of the staff, which enhanced the travelling experience. The fact that the train was on time also contributed significantly to keeping the overall journey time short and efficient. Unfortunately, there were also some negative points. The power socket did not work. In addition, the wifi was only available to a limited extent, which restricted the ability to communicate or work during the journey. Another weak point was the catering on board. There is definitely room for improvement here. The choice was limited and the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. Despite these shortcomings, the price-performance ratio can be rated as very good overall. The affordable fare compared to other modes of transport and the quality of travel on offer make the Eurostar an attractive option for travellers. To summarise, the Eurostar journey from Essen to Paris was generally positive. With some improvement in the area of amenities, particularly power sockets and wifi, as well as a review of the catering, the train journey could become a first-class option for travellers
