Travelling by Eurostar from Essen to Paris was a pleasant experience overall. However, there were some aspects that could be improved. Let's start with the positive aspects. The power socket did not work. In addition, the wifi was only available to a limited extent, which restricted the ability to communicate or work during the journey. Another weak point was the catering on board. There is definitely room for improvement here. The choice was limited and the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. Despite these shortcomings, the price-performance ratio can be rated as very good overall. The affordable fare compared to other modes of transport and the quality of travel on offer make the Eurostar an attractive option for travellers.
