Colchester

Colchester is an old English city with close links to its Roman history. Colchester Castle is built on a site popular with the Emperor Claudius and dates back to the eleventh century. The city itself was once famed for clock making and there is a clock museum dedicated to this antique art. Colchester also offers its seafood platter restaurants - mussels, oysters, and shellfish collected by families who have dedicated many generations to harvesting the produce from the local waters.
