Taking a Flight from Birmingham

Birmingham Airport is 10.2km southeast of the city centre. The airport is directly connected to Birmingham International train station by a free AirRail Link service, which takes two minutes to get to the station. It runs between 5.00am and 2.00am every day. Trains arrive from Birmingham New Street every 5-20 minutes throughout the day. National Express services 777 and 422 run from Birmingham Coach Station out to the airport, and bus numbers 97A and 900 both run from the city centre. The 97A runs 24 hours a day.

Flying into Aberdeen

Aberdeen is a city on the northeast coast of Scotland. Since the discovery of oil in the North Sea in the 1970s, the city has seen an upturn in employment, tourism and financial stability. It has also won the Britain in Bloom competition ten times, a national record. Aberdeen Airport is 9.3km northwest of the city centre. Bus No.727 runs from the airport to the city every ten minutes through the day from 4.30am to 11.30pm. The 80 Dyce Airlink shuttle bus takes passengers to Dyce Station, the nearest train station to the airport. It runs every 20 minutes between 6.45am and 7.00pm, and the journey takes 15 minutes. There are trains every 30 minutes from Dyce to central Aberdeen during the day. The journey takes ten minutes. Taxis are available outside the terminal and a journey into the city costs £15.
