I travelled from Augsburg to Munich - or rather, I wanted to. The first train was cancelled unannounced, without any proper information. I then took the next one, which was over 50 minutes later in total. Annoying and stressful, especially when you're in a hurry. The second train was at least clean, quiet and the wifi was fine. But overall not a brilliant performance. Really disappointing for such an important connection.

As I travel a lot for work, I had to travel from Augsburg to Munich last August. I travelled with the ICE and a direct connection in second class. Second class on the ICE is perfectly adequate. I had a good seat that was right next to a power socket. The wifi reception was very good, so I was able to work during the journey without any problems. The train arrived and departed on time. There was a bistro on board, but I didn't use it.

My impressions of the journey were mostly positive. These include the fact that the sanitary facilities were very hygienic both at the stations and on the train itself, which is very rare. The members of staff were very helpful and courteous. I would say that the price of the ticket was fair. I would also like to point out that the organisation at the station in Augsburg was very poor and I hardly found my way around.

We travelled from Augsburg to Munich by train due to our package holiday including train to the flight. The train arrived on time and was reliable. There were only a few passengers on the train, so we had plenty of space and were able to take our suitcase with us on the seat. I found it particularly positive on this section of the journey that the train only made a few stops. I have no negative points to mention.

The train journey was quiet and pleasant. I had enough space even with larger luggage and found the carriage clean and well air-conditioned. The sockets at the seat worked reliably, which was important for me. Wifi was available but only moderately stable. It was particularly practical that the train travelled through without changing trains. Well suited for longer journeys, even if the internet connection could be improved.

I decided to take the regional train from Augsburg to Munich, as it was much cheaper than the ICE. This train wasn't very full, so it was quiet on the train. The seats were also quite comfortable and the journey took less than an hour. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very poor. The toilets in particular could have been a bit cleaner. Although we left on time, we arrived in Munich about 15 minutes late. The staff were very friendly and carried out a quick ticket check. I can definitely recommend the journey.

This train journey was one of the best I've ever had. The train was on time, the compartment was modern and pleasantly quiet. I had a window seat with plenty of legroom and a working power socket so that I could work on my laptop without any problems. I was particularly impressed by the speed of the journey. Despite the long distance, there were hardly any stops and we even arrived a few minutes early. The seats were comfortable and the light was pleasant. This is exactly how I imagine travelling without a car.

The train journey was mixed. In any case, the fast connection was positive, I reached my destination much quicker than by car. The seat was also fine and the air conditioning was pleasant. Unfortunately, there was a delay of almost 20 minutes right at the beginning without a clear announcement. The toilet was unfortunately in poor condition and was not cleaned during the journey. It's fine for short journeys, but I would like more comfort on longer journeys.

I travelled back to Munich from Cologne at night and Augsburg was one of the last stops before Munich. The train left Augsburg on time at 05:32 and reached Munich main station on time at 06:03. The journey was very quick and definitely the best option for this route. I was able to charge my mobile phone on the train and relax unlike if I were travelling by car. I didn't use the service or the toilets on the short journey, but I can say that the train was extremely clean and the seats were comfortable. Overall, I would recommend the train journey

I recently made a journey from Augsburg to Munich by Deutsche Bahn. The volume on the train was reasonable. The train also arrived in Munich on time. The price in my opinion was also very cheap and much better than other providers offered. The staff, however, were not very friendly and did not really listen to their customers' concerns. Hygiene was not taken care of well enough, as the toilets were not clean and neither were the seats. There were several transfer necessities which made the journey difficult. Overall, a satisfactory journey.

The train from Augsburg to Munich runs very well. There is a power socket at every seat on the train and the internet is fine. The cleanliness on the train is acceptable. Travelling to Munich by train makes more sense than by car. In general, I really enjoy travelling by train because it is cheaper.

Hello everyone! A few months ago, I took a train trip from Augsburg to Munich with Deutsche Bahn. The price was very good. I only had to pay €38. The train arrived in Munich on time. In addition, the toilets were very clean and smelled pleasant. Unfortunately, the wifi connection was very weak. There were several changes of trains and the noise level in the train was not adequate. Overall, however, a satisfactory journey for the money.
Advantages
IconFast ride
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
I made a journey from Darmstadt to Munich with IC 2297, which also called at Augsburg. The journey was in second class. The train was almost empty, which I personally appreciated. It was a very fast and almost imperceptible journey. The train was clean and hygienic. It was also on time the whole way. However, there was unfortunately no wifi on board. Nevertheless, I would take this trip again.
Advantages
IconVery pleasant and quiet
Disadvantages
IconHave had no difficulties
As I had my trip from Stuttgart to Munich, I rate this route at the same time, as I drove along there. The journey was really pleasant, there was food and drink, and nice company. The staff were very friendly and respectful. It was clean and the toilet was also very spacious and clean. I personally really enjoyed the trip, I met nice people along the way. ICE is fun to travel with.
Advantages
IconHygienically clean train
IconGood visual condition of the train
IconOn time
Disadvantages
IconNone
I travelled second class from Darmstadt to Munich on IC 2297. The Augsburg to Munich route was part of it, so I can evaluate this route. The train was on time and apparently in good visual and technical condition. The journey takes just under half an hour, which I would describe as speedy. The train was not full to capacity, there were still plenty of seats available. The Deutsche Bahn staff were friendly and courteous.
Advantages
IconPrice performance
IconFast
Disadvantages
IconNone
Travelling by train is increasingly proving to be an alternative to driving for me. You don't have to struggle in traffic jams and can concentrate on other things, such as work. What's more, the ticket is relatively cheap for the journey and the journey doesn't take long. Always happy to come back!
Advantages
IconFast
IconFavourable price
Disadvantages
IconWIFI
I recently travelled from Augsburg to Munich by train and was surprised at how fast the journey was. The price was also very fair! There were sockets for charging, but once again the wifi didn't work. However, the train arrived on time and the seats were relatively comfortable, which made the problem with the wifi not so bad. I can recommend taking the train to anyone who wants to avoid the traffic jams on the motorways
Advantages
IconPeace and quiet
IconWIFI
IconNo change
Disadvantages
IconComfort
I normally only travel by car, but as it was in the workshop at the time, I took the train and had nothing to complain about. The wifi worked and there were also power sockets. The train was clean and it was very quiet. The only thing was that the seats were a bit uncomfortable. For the sake of interest, I calculated which would be more expensive, travelling by car or train, and I came to the conclusion that both cost about the same. If the opportunity arises, I'd love to go again!
Advantages
IconPunctuality and no changing
IconSmooth ticket inspection
IconClean corridors and toilets
IconComfortable seats with sufficient equipment
Disadvantages
IconStrange odour in the passenger compartment
IconNo catering facilities
A long train was used from Augsburg to Munich, which is why it was normally full. The noise level on the train was pleasant, but it did stink in my compartment. I found the toilets and corridors on the train clean. Unfortunately, there were no catering facilities. The staff on the train were friendly and helpful, so that a smooth ticket inspection could be carried out. The seats were comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and a stable internet connection. The train was on time and there was no need to change trains. All in all, a journey that can definitely be recommended!
Advantages
IconComfortable
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctual
I travelled second class with a friend. We simply watched YouTube videos about downloads. The hygiene in the compartment was good, the toilet was very smelly. The conductor was very friendly and there were enough seats available, we didn't have a reservation. The train was 20 minutes late, which meant we missed our connecting bus. Apart from that, it was a good journey.
Advantages
IconComfortable
I am very happy with the journey. We set off on time and arrived on time. I watched Netflix during the journey and was also able to charge my mobile phone. It was very quiet in the quiet compartment and the ticket control worked smoothly. The price is okay.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconPrice
The train journey is easy to book online. Positive aspects that struck me were, for example, the good wifi and the cleanliness. But the service was also really excellent. It was very quiet and pleasant in the compartment. The journey took just under an hour.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconBeautiful view
Disadvantages
IconTicket expensive
The train journey from Augsburg to Munich was a comfortable and fast way to travel between cities. The train was clean, well maintained, the short journey time made the journey extremely practical. The seats were comfortable, offering enough space for the short journey. The scenic route offered a beautiful view of the Bavarian countryside, also the regular train connections between Augsburg and Munich make this an ideal route for commuters or those travelling to visit these two cities.
Advantages
IconFast
Disadvantages
IconWIFI
The journey was very short, but unfortunately I still have a few complaints. Firstly, the wifi didn't work and when I wanted to charge my mobile phone, this didn't work either. One positive point was that the pitch was quite clean and cosy and the staff were always friendly.
