While there are no direct flights from the northern metropolis of Manchester to the historic port of Plymouth in Devon, there is a regular service several times a day to two other airports, each around 40 miles away. The flight itself lasts little more than an hour non-stop, and after that, it takes roughly another hour to get to Plymouth by road or rail.
Flybe and British Airways both fly between these popular destinations. Of the two, Flybe is generally faster. Air France also operates along this route but requires a much longer layover.
Air travel between Manchester and Plymouth takes approximately 65 to 70 minutes. Most flights are direct, with any changes adding about three hours to the journey.
There are four fast, non-stop flights from Manchester to Plymouth daily, spread evenly from morning to mid-evening, plus several more indirect flights involving one change. On top of that, there are usually a few more flights each day with a lengthier interval between legs.
