Tunisair is the national flag carrier airline of Tunisia, established in 1948. It operates scheduled international services to destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, with its main hub at Tunis–Carthage International Airport. The airline is majority-owned by the Tunisian government. Nouvelair Tunisie is a private Tunisian airline established in 1989, initially as Air Liberté Tunisie, a subsidiary of the French airline Air Liberté. It operates tourist charter services from European cities to Tunisian holiday resorts, with main bases at Monastir International Airport, Tunis-Carthage International Airport, and Djerba-Zarzis Airport. Nouvelair offers flights to over 60 European cities, as well as destinations in Africa, providing both regular and charter services. The airline is part of the Tunisian Travel Service (TTS) group, which specializes in tourism.
