How to Get to Warwick by Train

The train station at the historic town of Warwick is managed by Chiltern Railways, who operate the majority of the services here. London Midland and CrossCountry also run a smaller number of trains from this station. As Warwick lies in fairly close proximity to Birmingham, there are a number of trains which operate between the two destinations; the main service being between London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill, run by Chiltern railways. If travelling from the north, it is advisable to travel to Birmingham in the first instance and then catch a connecting train from Birmingham Snow Hill to Warwick. Leamington Spa, which is just four kilometres from Warwick, has train services to Coventry. Warwick train station is easily accessible from the town centre as it is only a ten-minute walk away.

Warwick

Historic Warwick is located in the rural heart of England and is one of the most popular tourist towns in the country. Just 15 kilometres from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick benefits from being so close to the birth town of Shakespeare but boasts enough attractions and historic beauty to stand on its own merits. Undoubtedly the most popular attraction here is Warwick Castle. Since 1068, Warwick Castle has stood as one of the finest medieval fortresses in the country. Today, this magnificent structure is home to a host of attractions and entertainments for all the family including a Merlin exhibit and battle recreations. The long history of Warwick itself is exemplified by the quaint historic buildings within the town centre, many now housing a delightful selection of shops and cafes, perfect for an afternoon browse.
