The journey from Potsdam to Berlin Central Station was very quick and pleasant. However, the train was very crowded as school had just finished. You can get to Berlin city centre quickly on this train and don't get stuck in traffic jams like you would by car. I can highly recommend travelling into Berlin by train. The staff who checked our tickets were also very nice.
