My journey from Porto to Braga on the IC 721 and R 3842 trains was a very positive experience overall. The journey took about 47 minutes, including the change of trains. The first part of the journey on the Intercidades IC 721 from Porto-Campanhã was comfortable and punctual. The seats were comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. After about 40 minutes I had to change trains in Nine. The change was the only minor downer of the journey. With only 10 minutes to change trains, it was a bit hectic, especially as I had my luggage with me. Fortunately, the connecting train, the regional train R 3842, was easy to find. The R 3842 was a little less comfortable than the IC, but perfectly adequate for the short journey to Braga. The views of the Portuguese countryside were beautiful, especially as we approached Braga. The staff on both trains were friendly and helpful. Punctuality was impressive - we arrived in Braga exactly on schedule. Overall, a very good train service that I would happily use again. The only suggestion for improvement would be a slightly longer changeover time in Nine.

The train journey from Porto to Braga on the 131 high-speed train was simply fantastic! It only takes 37 minutes to reach your destination directly and without changing trains - super fast and incredibly comfortable. The seats were very comfortable and the train was clean and modern. I was particularly impressed by how quiet and pleasant the journey was - perfect for relaxing or checking emails. The train was on time and boarding and alighting was smooth. The comfort you get for this short journey is a big plus. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to travel quickly and stress-free between Porto and Braga!
