IconRelaxed changeover
IconLow utilisation
IconGood comfort and equipment
Disadvantages
IconSmall delay of the first train
IconCleanliness poor
From Plauen to Leipzig, I only had to change trains once in Chemnitz Hbf. My first train was delayed by 5 minutes, but this was not too bad as I had 20 minutes to change trains in Chemnitz. Both trains were dirty and the toilets could have been a bit cleaner. As the trains were not full, it was very quiet on the trains. The seating comfort had been there and asked for full facilities. Finally, my connecting train arrived on time.
Advantages
IconNo changes and no delays
IconComfortable seats with full equipment and snack machine
IconTop hygiene and cleanliness
Disadvantages
IconNo train signage and information
IconStaff was very quickly overwhelmed
IconLoud atmosphere on the train
The train from Plauen to Leipzig had had a normal load factor. However, it had been very noisy due to the many families on the train. There was also no information display either outside or inside, which caused confusion for many people. As the train consisted of two different sections, it was very difficult to recognise whether you were sitting in the right section. As a result, the staff were very quickly overwhelmed and informed everyone via the train announcement, which was barely audible. Otherwise, the seats were comfortable and fully equipped with a snack machine. The cleanliness and hygiene on the train was also excellent. Despite the tense situation, the train arrived on time and without changing trains at Leipzig main station.
