Nice is one of the Mediterranean's most popular destinations, with its beautiful beaches, fine restaurants and historic downtown. Known for its outstanding architecture, the Promenade des Anglais is popular among visitors and locals alike; at the weekend, cyclists, skateboarders, inline skaters and families can be seen out on the Promenade. Afterwards, make the most of Nice's diverse nightlife with an aperitif on the Cours Saleya, a cocktail in a lounge bar or an evening of salsa, jazz or cabaret.

There are about 15 Eurostar trains departing London to Paris each day, taking just over 2 hours. Those travelling from outside London can take the train into the either the King's Cross or Piccadilly stations and then the Underground to get to St. Pancras. Here, passengers can board the Eurostar and travel directly to Paris Gare du Nord, then take the RER to arrive into Gare de Lyon, where plenty of regular regional trains depart for Nice. The journey from Paris takes just under 6 hours.
