IconOvercrowded train
I could not recommend the journey from Mannheim main station to Cologne. Firstly, the train was late and I missed my connection. The train was completely overcrowded due to the delay and therefore it was also very noisy in the train. Again, I paid a lot for this train and could not show good value for money. The positives could not outweigh the negatives on this journey. Nevertheless, I like to travel by train because I can make good use of the time there.

The price-performance ratio was fine, it was not more expensive than expected. During the journey from Mannheim to Cologne, I did not have to change trains and there were no delays. I used the toilets and they were clean. I could easily book my seat online and was able to sit on it. The seat next to me was free. The seats were a bit newer and therefore quite comfortable. I didn't use the wifi, but it was available, as well as a power socket for the seat for two.
