Trains from London Pancras to Kettering are frequent and the fastest trains take just under 1 hour to complete their journey. Most trains to Kettering arrive via the Midland Main Line which runs from Leeds or Nottingham via Sheffield through to London. Some services arriving here are via the Corby-London line which originate in Corby and take approximately 10 minutes to get to Kettering. From Nottingham or Sheffield journey time to Kettering is just under an hour and from Leeds it takes just under 1.5 hours to reach the town.

Nearby Broughton House is one of England's most elegant country homes which is often referred to as the 'English Versailles'. Kettering town centre offers a multitude of cafes, pubs, restaurants, independent shops along with high street names at the modern Newlands shopping centre.
