The journey from Göttingen to Hanover was very quick on the ICE. The comfort on the train was also quite good. However, there was no ticket inspection on the short journey. However, the staff in the on-board bistro were very friendly. Unfortunately, there was no wifi on the train. The train was also slightly delayed by 10 minutes. I thought it was good that connecting trains were waiting in Hanover and that passengers were well informed. In addition, my ticket wasn't very expensive, which is why I can definitely recommend it.

My recent ICE journey from Göttingen to Hanover was very pleasant for the most part. I was particularly impressed by the speed of the train - the journey was completed in record time. The legroom on the ICE was also excellent, which made the journey very comfortable. The only slight downer was the delay of around 15 minutes. Although this was not ideal, it hardly spoilt the overall positive impression.

IconHigh capacity utilisation possible at peak times
IconInflexible due to fixed departure times
IconIn the event of cancellation/delay, there is the possibility of missing appointments
I travelled by train to visit my girlfriend in Hanover. I started my journey in Göttingen, as that's where I work. The ICE connection between Göttingen and Hanover is the best alternative as it is relatively cheap (€9.99) - but above all very fast. The journey was very comfortable as the train was hardly full and I had a free choice of seats. There was nothing to complain about the toilets as they were very clean and the trains were on time. I also noticed that the on-board staff were very friendly.

Punctual arrival of the train. Very pleasant journey. There were more than enough seats available, even without a reservation. The wifi worked perfectly. We were able to sleep straight away because we were checked very quickly and in a friendly manner. The clean toilets should be emphasised.
Advantages
IconThe train ticket is cheap
IconCheap to book the extra seat
IconNo delay
Disadvantages
IconThe train is older
There were no delays on my journey from Göttingen to Hanover, which was very pleasing. The train was a bit older, but it was clean and well maintained. The seats in the train are already a bit narrow and therefore I book the extra seat for small money and can travel relaxed. By booking the seats, the train tickets are still cheaper than other means of travel. The staff were chatty and friendly and this is much better to me than bad-tempered travel staff. For the cheap price there is nothing for me to complain about, the journey was good and we arrived. Gladly again.
Advantages
IconVery fast
IconOn time
IconClean
IconFriendly train staff
Disadvantages
IconA little full
On my journey from Karlsruhe to Hanover (with the ICE72 via Mannheim, Frankfurt, Kassel and Göttingen) I also travelled this route. It only takes about 30 minutes by ICE, which is almost three times as fast as by car. The train left Göttingen on time and even arrived in Hanover 5 minutes early. This is a very rare experience. The entire train, including the toilets, was clean and the train staff friendly. Unfortunately it was a bit crowded, but for a Friday afternoon it was still fine.
Advantages
IconFast ride in the ice
IconGood service in the onboard restaurant
IconNice conductors
Disadvantages
IconSometimes a bit overcrowded that there are no more seats available
IconSometimes late
IconSometimes bordbistro closed
The ICE had wifi, power sockets and was on time. It had a board bistro and delicious food, plus it has a toilet and it was very quiet on the train. If you book your tickets a little earlier, the price in the app goes down. The staff were very friendly and you didn't have to change trains. The train was clean and you could reserve seats there.
Advantages
IconFast travel
IconOn time
IconClean
IconFast wifi
Disadvantages
IconStaff was a little annoyed
The journey went so far without any problems, the train was on time and we also reached Hanover on time. The train was clean, the toilets and the seat were not dirty either. The seat itself had a working socket and the wifi also worked well. Unfortunately, the staff was a bit annoyed, probably because of annoying guests in the carriage. But the colleagues in the on-board bistro were nice and served delicious food. You can't complain about the ticket price either, the trip was really super cheap. All in all, everything was great.
Advantages
IconTrip duration
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconUtilisation
My journey with Deutsche Bahn from Göttingen to Hanover main station was really good. Not only was the journey super quick and easy, but the train was also super new and clean. The capacity utilisation was unfortunately quite high, but this was not a major problem. In my opinion, this connection is also ideal for commuters or day trips, with or without the family. I would be happy to travel again.
