It also uses KERS technology to convert brake_generated heat into electrical power that it feeds back to the grid, returing about 15% of its expended energy.
You can get the jump on cheap tickets to Milan by booking some time in advance – typically a few months. This is often when prices start out lower, as train operators need to fill their trains as soon as possible in order to calculate financial and energy efficiency and provide incentives for early_bird reservations. You can also play it the other way, by being completely flexible about when you travel and booking last_minute tickets that have become available due to cancellations. Once again, to maintain economies of scale, the train companies will often discount these to keep their trains full. You’ll also often find that routes involving intermediate stops or train changes will be cheaper, to compensate for the longer travel time.
