Liverpool John Lennon Airport is 12 km southeast of the city centre. The AirLink 500 bus service departs from Skelhorne Street for the airport every thirty minutes between 7.20 a.m. to 12.15 a.m. The journey takes twenty-five minutes. Bus routes 80A, 82A and 86A all run from the city centre out to the airport. These services take 10-15 minutes longer than the Airlink service.

The AirportExpress train leaves Schönefeld and runs directly to the city centre. It leaves every thirty minutes and the journey lasts thirty minutes. There is no train station at Tegel Airport. Buses 171 and 162 run from Schoenefeld, and it is served by the night bus N7. Tegel Airport is served by bus routes 109 and 128. There is also an express bus, the X9. Taxis and rental cars are available at both airports.
