How to Get to Basel by Plane

Constructed in 1946 and located about 6 kilometres from the city centre, the Euro Airport is the largest airport in Basel city. It was built to serve Switzerland, France, Freiburg, Mulhouse and Basel but today there are hundreds of flights to Basel from all over the United Kingdom and the world at large. The A3 motorway connects the airport to the central business district. Though a number of buses ply the route, BVB number 50 departs the most frequently. There is also a very efficient train service to and from the airport that departs every 10 minutes.
