Ferries from Salerno to Amalfi

The Salerno Amalfi ferry route is 25.3 km long and is currently operated by two ferry companies. There is a ferry service that operates to a maximum of seven times in a week with sailing duration averaging of around 40 minutes. Travelmar operates up to 11 times in a day with their sailing duration averaging around 35 minutes. All the sailings combined total to a maximum of 12 sailings on offer in a day on the Salerno-Amalfi ferry route. One can move from Salerno to Amalfi by ferry or hydrofoil. Vehicles are not allowed to embark on any ferry route to and from the Amalfi Coast. They can, however, be parked at the many parking lots available at Salerno.

Departures for ferries operated by Travelmar are spread out from as early as 8:40 a.m. up to 6:00 p.m. The trip to Amalfi takes roughly 35 minutes. The route schedule may change and it’s therefore important to do a live check before the trip date. Many useful amenities are available on board. There is an extra charge placed on any additional luggage.

What you need to know to travel by ferries from Salerno to Amalfi

There are two ports of departure from Salerno: Molo Manfredi and Piazza Concordia. The latter is directly across from the train station where there are high-speed trains. The former is just a few kilometres away. The Amalfi port for all ferry departures and arrivals is at Molo Pennello, in the town centre. To get to the parking at Salerno, take the exit Mariconda Salerno-East from the Salerno bypass, keep left at the fork, follow the signs for Lungomare or Arbostella at the roundabout and take the very first exit onto the Via Generale Clark. The parking is adjacent to the IP filling station.
