We combined a city holiday in Rome with a crossing to Sardinia. As Rome itself is not directly by the sea, we had to travel 1 hour to the neighbouring port of Civitavecchia. From there, we travelled to Olbia with the Tirrenia shipping company for around 5 hours. The ship was not the most modern, but it was sufficient for the journey. Unfortunately, there were technical problems, which meant that there was no fresh coffee. Otherwise, however, everything was satisfactory and the staff were also in a very good mood. We would book again.
