The mini palace, Casino de Murcia, originally opened in 1847, and has been painstakingly restored to its former glory, and features a Morrish patio adorned with a large iron and glass dome with Arabic inscriptions. It contains two floors of a library that was added on in 1916, a grand ballroom complete with crystal chandeliers. Of course, no gentleman’s club would be complete without a lady’s room, this one comes with delightful cherubs and angels painted on the ceilings.
  • Seeing as you are in the heart of a city famous for its tapas, it would be remiss not to indulge, and there is no shortage of places to go to. However, head to Plaza de las Flores which is packed with Bodegas and taverns to pick from. One of the oldest, La Bodega de Pepico el de Tio Genes has been serving tapas since 1935 is a must-try.
