Flights
Tenerife has two international airports, Tenerife-North and Tenerife-South. Most passenger flights from the UK arrive into Tenerife-South, with flights departing from all major London and UK airports regularly.Tenerife-North services international arrivals from further afield, although regular flights from London-Heathrow are available for UK travellers. The average flight time from the UK to Tenerife is around 4 hours 30 minutes.
How to Get Around Tenerife
Car
One of the better ways to see the island is to rent a car during your trip in Tenerife. If you’re flying in, you’ll be able to pick up a rental car at arrivals, giving you free rein to explore the island at your own pace.
Bus
Tenerife has its own reliable bus system (TITSA), which gives visitors the chance to navigate around the island inexpensively. Visitors can purchase a Bono card as soon as they arrive, giving them unlimited travel on all TITSA buses, as well as the tram system in Santa Cruz itself.
