Flights to Helensburgh arrive at Glasgow Airport, the closest airport to the town. Glasgow is a major international airport, served by a number of large and budget carriers including British Airways, EasyJet and Jet2. Located to the west of Glasgow, the airport is just 37 kilometres from Helensburgh. A taxi service from Glasgow Airport is the fastest option for travel to Helensburgh, offering a journey time of just over 30 minutes. Alternatively passengers can take the Glasgow Shuttle Bus to central Glasgow and then board a train to Helensburgh.
Trains to Helensburgh
Helensburgh is home to three train stations, Helensburgh Central, Helensburgh Upper and Craigendoran. Regular Scotrail trains arrive at Helensburgh Central from Glasgow or Edinburgh along the North Clyde Line. Helensburgh Central is the most convenient station for most visitors, located in the city centre a short walk from the beach, shops, hotels and central amenities. Trains from Glasgow to Helensburgh take approximately 45 minutes or just over two hours from Edinburgh. A number of bus services depart from Helensburgh Central Station and serve the outerlying regions of the town.

Travel to Helensburgh by bus is a convenient way to reach the town. The main bus terminus is located at Helensburgh Central Railway Station, in the centre of the town.
