An all-round successful trip - relaxed from Berlin to Stuttgart My train journey from Berlin to Stuttgart was simply great! I had a good feeling as soon as I boarded: the train was on time, clean and pleasantly quiet. I hadn't reserved a window seat, but I got one. I was able to relax and let the beautiful countryside pass me by - from wide fields to small villages, everything was there. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the comfort on board: comfortable seats, plenty of space and a quiet atmosphere in which you could really switch off. The wifi was also stable, so I was even able to do some work while travelling - and listen to a bit of music in between. The on-board staff were friendly and helpful, and the announcements were pleasant and informative - neither too frequent nor too loud. I felt well looked after throughout the journey. All in all, it was a really nice journey that showed me how relaxing travelling by train can be. I would love to come back!

I travelled from Berlin Central Station to Stuttgart Central Station using two Deutsche Bahn ICE trains. At the main station in Frankfurt (Main), I changed from ICE 933 to ICE 693. Both trains were on time and I arrived at my destination relaxed. Due to the busier journey times, you should book a seat reservation if you want a seat.

I travelled to the football match with my colleagues. It was the best connection to get to Stuttgart. We travelled overnight and bought a beer in the kitchen on board, which was served with good service. The best thing about the journey was the possibility of charging on board. The journey was as comfortable as possible. The toilets were also very clean and I was able to sleep comfortably on the train as my seat was upholstered. It cost me €18 and it was worth every cent.

I was travelling to visit a good friend and was actually looking forward to a relaxed train journey. At least the train was on time, which was good. The seating comfort was okay, but nothing special, just fine for the duration of the journey. The view was nice in places, especially away from the cities. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy in the compartment, which made it difficult to read or simply switch off. The toilets could definitely have been cleaner. Service was friendly, but hardly visible. Overall, the journey was mediocre, not bad, but not a highlight either.

The trip was private - I was travelling to Stuttgart to visit my sister, who had just had a baby. It was important for me to get there as early as possible so that I could spend the day with my family. The plan was to leave from Berlin Central Station at 6.30 a.m. Was this connection the best option? Yes, definitely. I briefly considered driving or taking a domestic flight, but the ICE was more practical in every respect. No traffic jams, no stress, no changing trains - just get on and get there.what I liked best: The peace and quiet on the train in the morning was exactly what I needed. I was able to relax and read and then sleep a little later. First class really offers a lot of comfort - wide seats, a quiet atmosphere and plenty of space.what I liked least: The train arrived slightly late. Instead of leaving at 6.30am, it didn't leave until around 6.40 or 6.45am. That wasn't dramatic, but with such an early connection I would have liked a little more reliability. It was also quite chilly in the compartment - a warmer setting for the air conditioning would have been nice.comfort: Overall, the journey was very comfortable. Seat quality, legroom and quietness in the carriage were top.cleanliness: Everything was clean - both the seats and the toilets. There was nothing to complain about.wifi & entertainment: I used the wifi to listen to a bit of music and read the news. The connection was stable. The power socket at the seat also worked without any problems.Punctuality: As I said, there was a slight delay on departure (approx. 10-15 minutes), but this didn't have a major impact. Overall, I still arrived in Stuttgart on time.Service: The train attendants were friendly, regularly walked through the carriage and greeted me in a friendly manner. The service was pleasantly unobtrusive.On-board restaurant/bistro: I went to the on-board bistro to get a coffee and a sandwich. It tasted okay, but the breakfast selection was a little sparse. A fresher selection would have made the start to the day even better.value for money: I paid around 100 euros for the 1st class ticket (with BahnCard discount). For the relaxed journey and the comfort, that was fine, even if I can see a bit of room for improvement with the delay and the breakfast.

Great direct connection without transfers. Unfortunately no air conditioning or luggage storage, but the price is unbeatable. I paid just under €12! With the train, it easily costs ten times as much, even if you book weeks in advance. You don't even have to reserve a seat - it's automatically included with Flix.

On 1 May 2025, I travelled privately on ICE 119 from Berlin Hbf to Stuttgart Hbf. The occasion was a visit to friends over the long public holiday weekend. The connection with departure at 06:33 was perfect for arriving early and making the most of the day in Stuttgart. I had also looked at later connections in advance, but deliberately opted for this direct connection - without changing trains and with a scheduled arrival at 12:48. What I liked best was that the train was on time and the early departure meant I could travel relatively undisturbed and quietly. The comfort was also good - the seat was comfortable, the air conditioning was pleasant, and the carriage and toilets were clean. I used wifi, which was sufficient for simple tasks such as emails or messages, and I was able to charge my mobile phone easily via the socket. The only thing that was less good was that the on-board bistro was quite full at lunchtime. I therefore didn't use it, but had my own snacks with me. The service was unobtrusive but reliable - with clear announcements and friendly checks. The ticket price was in the range of a saver fare, probably between 30 and 50 euros. For a direct connection of around 6 hours, the price-performance ratio was very good in my eyes. Overall, it was a pleasant, punctual and relaxed journey - ideal for a short private trip on a public holiday.

I travelled back from Berlin to Stuttgart by train and the journey back was very pleasant. It wasn't too crowded and there was no lack of space. I saved a lot of money with FlixTrain because I would have paid a lot for an ICE train and with FlixTrain I only paid half the price and I think that's very, very good. The disadvantage with FlixTrain was that they don't have air conditioning on the train but that wasn't a problem because I was sitting by the window and could also open my window, the staff were very nice and the train was on time so it wasn't like the German train which just arrived on time.

I travelled from Berlin to Stuttgart in the morning with FlixTrain and was very satisfied overall. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The journey was on time, so I arrived on schedule. The price was really good for the route and thanks to the wifi connection on board, I was well entertained the whole time. The temperature on the train was pleasantly regulated and I found the seats very comfortable. The only downside for me was that the toilets were not well maintained, which made the hygiene conditions a little unpleasant. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the journey very much overall.

I regularly have to travel to Stuttgart for work. Normally I fly, but this time I took the train. The journey was quite comfortable and pleasant/quiet. Unfortunately, the internet was so bad that it was impossible to work. The journey also takes longer and is more expensive than the plane. I also had a small delay. I will (unfortunately) continue to fly as it is uneconomical to use the train.

I went in and the train smelled very fresh, I sat down, the seat was very clean, the floors were also clean, the people were very quiet, I ordered something for myself, it came quickly and it was very fresh and the internet was very strong. Then I went to the toilet, it was hygienic as necessary, everything was in order, from soap to disinfectant. It was great because hygiene is important everywhere, even more important in crowded places. I recommend the trip.

IconTrain was too cold
Everything was great, I had enough sockets and wifi was also available. The seats were very comfortable and I had a nice view outside. I was also pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the conductor and the toilet was very clean, which I didn't expect. However, the train was a bit cold, which is why I took my jacket off. Otherwise, everything was really great, especially for the price of 13.40 euros.
Advantages

This train trip was great because of the low price and because of the services. The price alone is a reason to recommend the trip, so I recommend it. I didn't expect much at the beginning, but was then very positively surprised, as everything was right. The staff did a good job. The train was more than punctual. A lot of attention was paid to hygiene and the toilets were clean. A table showed where I was at the moment. You could call a member of staff by pressing a red button. It was very quiet on the train. Deserved 5 stars, great ride!

The ICE train from Berlin to Stuttgart provided a pleasant travel experience with comfortable seating, ample legroom and a smooth ride. The train left on time and arrived reliably at its destination. The train staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the price of the journey was not particularly good compared to other means of transport. Although the service was of a high standard, it might be a barrier for some travellers to pay the higher price. Additionally, there was also a good selection of entertainment options such as movies, music and wifi, but the wifi was not very stable and could be interrupted at times. Nevertheless, overall it was a positive experience with the ICE from Berlin to Stuttgart and I would use it again if I had the opportunity. All in all, travelling by ICE is a good choice for someone who prefers a fast and comfortable journey but is willing to pay a higher price for it. It is important to note that there may be better alternatives for travellers who prefer a more cost-efficient option.
Advantages
IconTrue pleasant
Disadvantages
IconTrue crowded
I didn't like the ride as much as my previous ride. The train was very crowded and there was hardly any space. It was very stuffy on the train. There were just so many people that I recommend reserving a seat. The sockets charged slowly and the wifi was weak. The toilets were very unhygienic and very dirty, it was very disgusting. The service was nice and you tried to make everything as good as possible. In terms of price, I bought my ticket relatively cheaply. You just have to book earlier.
Advantages
Iconvery favourable
There were many menus on the menu, I really liked my menu and you could even take it away if you couldn't eat it all. The wifi was very good, so I could still work a bit on my laptop. The temperature on the train was very pleasant, as it was neither cold nor hot. My seat was very comfortable and the train was very quiet. This trip was great, just from the price alone, I can pass it on. Great ride and very cheap ride.

I took the train from Berlin to Stuttgart a few times. At the beginning the train was empty and cold and after a while it was just crowded and smelly. The wifi didn't work properly and the sockets charged very slowly. The seats were relatively comfortable. The service was very nice and they tried to accommodate every bust. Unfortunately, the toilets were very unhygienic. In terms of price, it was relatively good, but they could make the prices a bit cheaper.

I travelled with my two dogs from Berlin to Stuttgart, changing in Nuremberg. I found it very expensive in terms of price. Unfortunately, neither train was on time. It was not only very dirty, but also badly damaged. Nevertheless, the seats were comfortable. The internet, fast and easy to understand.

The connection was great! The transfer options were sufficient in terms of time. As always, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to sit and work comfortably in 2nd class. Unfortunately, the wifi is not sufficient and there are not enough power sockets. There was leftover food from the previous passenger between the seats and it was very sticky on the tables. Unfortunately, there is a lack of hygiene here.

The train is very clean and the seats are comfortable. Everything works well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Mainly the train arrived on time without any single minute delaying. I am so much happy travelling with Deutsche Bahn and would like to recommend everyone. Many thanks DB!!!

The train is a good way of travelling quickly across Germany. The journey time of six hours is shorter than travelling by car. The price is cheap. And the restaurant, which provides drinks and snacks, is a good way to bridge the long journey. Unfortunately, there was a delay, which is why we missed a connecting S-Bahn train in Stuttgart. The journey is recommended!
