Munich to Berlin train with Deutsche Bahn (ICE,IC,RE,RB)

I travelled with a friend from Munich to Berlin to visit another friend and watch a European Championship match. We thought why don't we give DB another chance. Spoiler we shouldn't have given it a chance. Arrived in Berlin 2.5 hours late and a nervous breakdown later, we regretted our decision.

I started my journey in March last year and booked not too long beforehand. Getting a 4-hour journey for around €40 is definitely very good. I am often travelling for work and rely on the train because of the long distances. I travelled in the morning and arrived in the afternoon. Personally, it was a little too noisy for a completely relaxing journey, but nothing too bad. I usually sit in the on-board bistro when possible which helped to relax a little on this journey. The train was on time, or rather on schedule, and we also arrived on time. The service was also great.

I travelled from Munich to Berlin and, to be honest, had hoped for a bit more. The connection was direct, so I didn't have to change trains, but the train was quite full and comfort was correspondingly limited. The wifi was unstable, which annoyed me. The toilets were borderline, not really clean. The service was barely visible. At least the train was on time. There was no on-board bistro. The view was quite nice in places. Compared to travelling by car, it was less stressful, but not much cheaper.

The train journey was really pleasant and relaxing, an experience I always appreciate when I'm travelling. Everything was on time right from departure, which is always an important point for me, as it means I can plan my time well and don't have to worry about delays. The atmosphere on the train was pleasantly quiet, the seats were comfortable and there was plenty of space, which made the journey very comfortable. During the journey I could see the beautiful scenery passing by, which is always a welcome change for me and makes the journey even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, which added to the impression of a well-organised company. There were no disruptions or unexpected incidents, everything ran smoothly, which is very reassuring for me as a passenger. The interior of the train was modern and clean, which added to the comfort. Overall, the train journey was a very positive experience where everything was just right - punctuality, comfort, friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. For me, journeys like this are always an opportunity to use the time wisely, relax and enjoy the journey as part of the destination. It's nice to know that you can rely on the train to get you to your destination safely and comfortably.

My return journey was on the ICE 706, which was a decent train with comfortable seats. The quiet atmosphere allowed me to relax. The staff were friendly and helpful. The toilets were in good condition and well equipped. The 10-minute delay was a little annoying, as I only just managed to catch my connecting train. Nevertheless, the journey was pleasant and comfortable overall.

For business reasons, I took the train from Berlin to Munich in the evening. As in the morning of the same day, the train was slightly late. No problem though. The service was very good and the train was clean and tidy as always. I actually used the charging function on the train as it was a long day. As well as a small dinner via the on-board restaurant. The price-performance ratio was fair as always and I am completely satisfied.so far for business trips Deutsche Bahn is optimal for me.

The train journey from Munich to Berlin was really relaxed, even with my pet on board. I was a little worried about whether everything would run smoothly, but fortunately this was completely unfounded. The staff were friendly and even asked if everything was OK. My seat was in a quiet location, with enough space for me and my little companion. The train was clean and comfortable, wifi worked well and the toilets were in good condition. I was particularly pleased that everything was on time, which is not a given on such a long journey. The price and service were absolutely right. It's a great way to travel, even with animals, and above all I didn't have to change trains!

The train journey was okay, but there were a few points that were annoying. The delay of 50 minutes was quite annoying, especially on the way to a business appointment. In addition, the toilets were unfortunately anything but clean, that could be better. On the plus side, there was wifi and the car itself was quiet, which I appreciated, and the seats were relatively comfortable. Overall, it was okay, but there is room for improvement. Next time I'd rather use the car again for an appointment like this.

I travelled to Berlin to visit a friend. I didn't look at any other options as this was the fastest connection to Berlin. Unfortunately my train was late, but otherwise everything was to my satisfaction. I travelled in the morning. The train and toilets were clean. The Wi-Fi was unfavourably not very good and only worked very rarely. The charging function, on the other hand, was good and fast. There was an on-board restaurant, but I didn't use it. I paid around €90 with a seat reservation and think the price-performance ratio is a little too expensive.

The journey was for business reasons - I had to attend an important meeting in Berlin, so it was necessary to arrive there on time and relaxed.was the connection the best option? Yes, I also looked at flights and long-distance buses beforehand, but the ICE was the most sensible choice overall. Flying didn't seem practical to me given the effort involved in travelling to the airport, security checks and possible delays. A long-distance bus would have taken much longer and been less comfortable. I therefore opted for the ICE in 1st class to travel efficiently and comfortably, leaving Munich at 8.51 a.m., which was convenient as I didn't have to get up too early but still arrived in Berlin in the morning: The seating comfort in 1st class was really very good. Plenty of legroom, comfortable upholstery and a quiet compartment made travelling pleasant. The wifi was surprisingly stable, which I used to answer emails and work on presentations. The power sockets at the seats were also reliable, which was my least favourite thing: The toilets could have been cleaner. Towards the end of the journey, the condition was rather borderline, which is a bit disappointing in 1st class. Also, although the on-board restaurant was available, the choice of food was quite limited and only of average quality. I bought a coffee and a sandwich there - okay in terms of flavour, but nothing special.Comfort: Overall, the journey was comfortable. The seat was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and it was pleasantly quiet.Cleanliness: The train was clean at the start of the journey, but as I said, the toilets could have been better maintained throughout the journey.WiFi & entertainment: I used the WiFi, which was stable throughout. I didn't use the on-board entertainment, but the charging functions at the seat were reliable.Punctuality: The train was on time - both on departure in Munich and on arrival in Berlin. This was particularly important for me because of my business appointment.Service: The service on the train was friendly and helpful. The train attendants regularly asked if everything was OK and were always available.Value for money: I paid around 120 euros for the 1st class ticket (including BahnCard discount). For the service offered - punctuality, comfort and the ability to work en route - I thought the price was okay, even if there is still room for improvement in small areas such as cleanliness.

This was my outward journey in second class, which was great. My train arrived on time, exactly when it was supposed to arrive and it was relatively cold on the train, but there was air conditioning which made sure we were warm. The toilets were very clean and the wifi was so good that I had no problems at all. The ride is really highly recommended as there was also a lot of attention paid to hygiene. Great ride!

Relaxed, punctual and above all direct connection from Munich to Berlin. Unfortunately also on this route: poor wifi connection and also via LTE not a good enough network to work. This time, no problems in the dining car and most importantly: friendly staff who kept pointing out the obligation to wear a mask and still didn't get stressed). But: With BahnCard50 and Super Sparpreis, I still paid € 94.30... A lot of money compared to a flight connection.

First of all, I would like to mention that I travelled alone and in 2nd class. The journey was totally great. The train arrived on time and departed exactly when it was supposed to (refers to the train ticket). I would also like to mention that the service was great: the food was delivered quickly and freshly, and the prices were reasonable. Then I want to write something about the toilets: they were very clean and very modern. I also had great wifi and it was very nice inside the train. The view from the train was also great. A very recommendable trip.

Before I write something else, I want to write this:That was a great action! That was awesome! It's about the fact that the wifi was down, but we were still provided with a mobile hotspot, which was awesome. Fortunately, we didn't have to change to a different one and the heaters worked in the cold season. In addition, all the staff were nice and had their masks on, so hygiene was taken care of at the same time. I can only pass it on. Greetings go out to the nice driver.

The trip was very nice because everything inside is nice, clean, spacious, uninterrupted it internet. I didn't even realise where I was going until I had my drink because it was better than my train journey before, I would do it again and can recommend it. I was also very warm as the heaters had worked great. I was totally thrilled as I had a massage seat in 2nd class, which was awesome. The trip is definitely recommendable.

This trip was great. Also, the atmosphere was really cool. I went at noon and honestly I went because of the football match. On the train I had wifi and multiple access to electricity. I had a very comfortable massage seat. The train was quiet anyway and if you needed food, you got it. The toilets were clean and hygienic and the atmosphere on the train was cool, the train was on time and I didn't have to change trains. I can definitely recommend it as it was very cheap. Great train ride.

I took the ICE from Munich to Berlin. First of all, I have to say that the wifi there was pretty bad. The seats were also dirty. However, the staff there were very nice. The best thing about this trip, however, was that the train was not delayed at all. Both on arrival and departure. The toilets there were pretty clean though. On the whole, there were positive as well as negative aspects. However, the price was too expensive. Therefore, not recommended for people with less money.

Overall, it can be said that the trip was very nice. There was excellent mobile phone reception and also a power outlet to charge electronic devices. The staff was very friendly. Which made for a pleasant atmosphere. The whole section was clean, so there was good hygiene. Therefore, I can only recommend the journey by train from Munich to Berlin to everyone.

I took the ICE from Munich to Berlin - and I would recommend it at any time. My train was on time and I was able to travel through without changing trains. I didn't sit on my reserved seat - but only because I sat one row behind to have a 2-seater for myself. At midday during the week, even during the Oktoberfest, it wasn't crowded and therefore very pleasant. Wifi was available from time to time, but especially for work, you shouldn't continue to do anything for which you are dependent on the internet.

The trip went really well and left me with a very positive overall impression. For this reason, this journey gets five out of five stars and I recommend it to others. The staff on the train are very friendly and helpful. Travelling on the ICE is very comfortable and fast. The seats in 1st class are super comfortable and you can sit very well even on longer journeys. There is enough legroom, even for taller people. What is not so good, however, is the cleanliness of the tables at the seats and also in the toilets. The wifi is very often disconnected and a new connection has to be established again and again.

The train journey from Munich to Hamburg was really disappointing. The seats on the train were totally uncomfortable and I had the feeling that they hadn't been refurbished for ages. The lack of legroom didn't make things any better, and I found the fact that there wasn't even wifi or power sockets really backward. The train seemed outdated overall and the journey was anything but pleasant. Jerky and uncomfortable. The selection of snacks and drinks was limited, and what was available could be better obtained elsewhere. The service on board was rather poor. The staff did not seem particularly motivated and appeared to have little interest in the needs of the passengers. If you asked a question, you were met with an annoyed shrug of the shoulders rather than a helpful answer. Cleanliness on the train? Well, there's not much positive to say. The seats and the area around me looked as if they had seen better days. The journey time was longer than expected and the timetable was not adhered to. That didn't exactly improve the mood. In terms of value for money, it was a real letdown. The price was simply too high for what was, or rather wasn't, on offer. All in all, the train journey from Munich to Berlin was quite a disappointment for me personally, and I hope that things will improve in the future.

The journey was in 2019, we were travelling by ICE, electricity was all available, wifi was okay for a train, food was always available in the restaurant. However, the toilets were not very clean. We travelled about 7 hours from Munich to Berlin. The price for the train journey was okay. A clear recommendation.

Travelling by ICE is very comfortable and super fast. DB staff are always friendly and helpful. The seats in 1st class are super comfortable and you can sit very comfortably even on longer journeys. There is plenty of legroom and they are also suitable for taller passengers. Unfortunately, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The tables are sticky and the toilets are dirty.
