Rostock to Schwerin train with Deutsche Bahn (ICE,RE,IC)

I give this train connection only three stars because the train was late, very unclean and smelled unpleasant. Booking the ticket online was very easy and unspectacular in my opinion. Unfortunately, the train arrived much too late, so I missed an important appointment. That annoyed me a lot. I had problems finding a free seat on the train because it was packed. The floor was sticky and there was something greasy on it, the walls looked the same. Disappointingly, I couldn't make my way to the toilet. There were no staff on the train to answer my questions. The only positive thing on the train was a stable wifi connection, which allowed me to continue working on my paper. Despite everything, the train was very fast, but as far as I am concerned, I will not use this train connection again.

On the route from Schwerin to Rostock, there were some delays due to a thunderstorm. Despite this, we didn't have to stop once and there was permanent electricity for charging electrical devices. The toilet was very clean and our reserved seats were also clean and the bins even emptied. The windows, walls and floor were averagely clean. The noise level on the train was OK, and it was still easy to understand and talk to each other during the journey. The toilet was regrettably poor, it smelled very unpleasant, so you didn't really want to go there, otherwise, a very fast train connection, also cheap as I found.

I travelled the route with the Deutschland Ticket, so I don't have a direct ticket for the connection. The train has no sockets and no wifi. The seats are comfortable. Staff are mostly friendly. Train and toilets are very clean. Price-performance ratio is very good.

About 9 months ago I travelled from. Schwerin to Rostock by regional express train. The journey took about 1 hour, which was good. It was also good that I didn't have to change trains. The seats were very clean and so was the toilet. In addition, the price of the ticket was reasonable. Unfortunately, the train was a little late by 5 minutes.
