Apart from the service to Trapani Birgi Airport which is some distance from the city, there are no regular buses from Palermo to Trapani. There is no direct service at present and passengers must change en route at Piraineto which is approximately half way. Trains are operated by Trenitalia and a journey should take between 3 and 5 hours depending on the service selected. Departures are early morning, mid-morning and early evening.
