The city of Lichfield is served by two railway stations, Lichfield Trent Valley and Lichfield City. Trains from London Euston run regularly throughout the day during the week and at weekends. The journey time is around 1.5 hours with the service being provided by London Midland trains. To arrive at Lichfield City station a change at Lichfield Trent Valley, about a mile outside the city, is required. The earliest train from London is at approximately 8:45 a.m. with the latest at around 5:00 p.m. To get to Lichfield from the southwest of the UK, trains from Bristol also run throughout the day. Trains to Lichfield for this service are provided by Crosscountry Trains and includes one change at Birmingham New Street. The journey takes around 2.5 hours, with the earliest departure at about 8:00 a.m. and the latest at around 12:30 p.m.
