Travelling from Ebbsfleet to Paris is fast and simple, using high speed trains. There are regular departures from very early in the morning until early afternoon, with both direct and indirect services available.
Eurostar operates all of the direct services. Indirect journeys use a combination of Eurostar trains and the high speed services operated by SNCF, the French national train company.
The daily direct trains from Ebbsfleet to Paris take between just over two hours and two hours and 20 minutes to complete the journey. The fastest indirect trains, requiring a change at Lille Europe, take just under three hours. Some of these indirect journeys can, however, take more than four and a half hours, with some requiring two changes, at Lille Europe and at Arras.
Departure train station: Ebbsfleet International station is the departure point for all journeys from Ebbsfleet to Paris, whether direct or requiring a change. This small but modern station has toilets and cash machines available along with a currency exchange and a shop with takeaway food sold. Local buses serve the station and there is a taxi rank just outside. There is extensive car parking. Local trains to other destinations depart regularly.
Arrival train station: Paris Gare du Nord is the large, historic station in the heart of Paris where all of these journeys from Ebbsfleet arrive. There's a very large range of available facilities at this busy station. These include cafes, newsagents and a shop. There are also toilets, left luggage facilities, cash machines and a currency exchange. Paris Gare du Nord is directly linked to the city's Metro system. The Paris suburban rail service, RER, also has a stop at Paris Gare du Nord. Local bus services depart from just outside the station and there is also a taxi rank.
