I was travelling from Cologne to Troisdorf. Unfortunately, the train was a few minutes late. Unfortunately, the train was totally overcrowded. Otherwise, however, I can only say positive things. The train was very well maintained inside and out, including the sanitary facilities. The staff on the train were nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the wifi was not available and there were no power sockets. The connection only took about 20 minutes and was otherwise very pleasant and quiet. I would always prefer Deutsche Bahn to the car.

I switched to the Deutschland Ticket at the beginning of the year and have been using the Cologne-Troisdorf route every day since then for my commute to work. As I travel quite early in the morning, there are often drunk people lying in the train, sometimes even in their vomit. The hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. The trains run very often in the morning, so I always have an alternative in case of delays. The trains are also usually not quite so full. The price-performance ratio is great.
