Since Wassenaar, which is a suburb of The Hague, does not have a railway station, trains arrive at either Leiden Centraal or Voorschoten. Services are direct and the journey takes between 35 and 55 minutes. From Leiden, it is a 20-minute bus ride to the centre of Wassenaar. Travellers arriving at Voorschoten can either take a six-minute taxi ride to their final destination or take the bus via Leiden.
