VIA Rail offers great views from airline-style seating with plenty of legroom. Every seat reclines for extra comfort. There's on-train at-seat entertainment provided, too. VIA Rail timetable

There are up to 1,800 possible routes on VIA Rail. The VIA Rail timetable consolidates these together in four main routes with frequent and fast connections. The Great Western Way runs cross-country between Toronto and Vancouver. The Ontario and Quebec route links Quebec City in the north and Windsor in the south, via Toronto. There's a special line to Niagara Falls. The Maritime Route links Montreal and Halifax. The VIA Rail timetable groups Prince Rupert to Jasper, Winnipeg to Churchill, White River to Sudbury and, in Quebec, Senneterre to Montreal as Adventure Routes, all using the latest trains.

VIA Rail classes and fares

Economy fares, with airline-style reclinable seats, are VIA Rail's cheapest and available on all trains. VIA Rail Business fares, which include more luxurious seating, meals, and drinks, are available between Quebec and Ontario. Sleeper Plus VIA Rail fares are available on routes to western Canada and the Maritimes. There's a sleeper berth with washroom and shower access, as well as meals and drinks. Prestige fares, between Toronto and Vancouver, add a flat-screen TV and a private washroom with a shower. Touring fares, between Jasper and Prince Rupert only, offer seating in panoramic cars for spectacular views.

Train facilities

There's a wide range of services on VIA Rail. Free WiFi is offered, and there's access to a dedicated entertainment network for all passengers. Meals and snacks, using Canadian ingredients where possible, are also available on VIA Rail trains. There are restrooms throughout every train. Children are offered activities to keep them entertained.
