Norfolkline was a European ferry and logistics company owned by Maersk, operating passenger and freight services across the English Channel, Irish Sea, and North Sea. Established in 1961, it employed over 2,200 staff across 13 countries, managing 18 vessels and a substantial fleet of refrigerated and dry-cargo trailers. In 2006, Norfolkline served more than 1.5 million passengers and completed over 1.2 million freight movements. In July 2010, DFDS Seaways acquired Norfolkline, integrating its routes and vessels into their operations.
