The AircoachExpress on route 705X covers the distance between the two capital cities within two hours. Possible starting points are the city centre and the airport in Dublin as well as several stops in Belfast. The bus itself was decent, but very full, which meant that the air quality was unfortunately not very good. Nevertheless, the journey itself was sufficiently comfortable. USB ports for charging smartphones were available. Value for money is absolutely in the green zone.

Travelling by bus from Dublin to Belfast is a very exciting undertaking, both geographically and politically and culturally. The journey itself is not very long, but it is interrupted by a lengthy and somewhat unpleasant stop at the Irish-Irish border. Fortunately, our bus driver guided us through the entire border procedure in a very relaxed and professional manner and organised the difficult parts for us as a travel group. The FlixBus itself was very full, which also bothered me at times, but I was able to sit relaxed in my seat and still enjoy the journey.
