My journey on the Railjet 87 from Munich to Innsbruck was a real highlight! As soon as I boarded the train, I noticed the modern interior of the new Railjet generation: Everything is in top condition, the seats are very comfortable and offer plenty of space - really pleasant even for longer journeys. The generous feeling of space and the large windows make the journey through the Alps a special experience. The low-floor entrances are particularly practical, making it much easier to board and alight with luggage or pushchairs. There are also separate areas for families and a children's play corner, which I think is very well thought out. The free wifi worked reliably and there are power sockets at every seat, so I was able to work easily while travelling. The train staff were friendly, attentive and multilingual - you immediately feel that you are in good hands. The on-board restaurant had a good selection of food and drinks, which were served fresh and quickly. The overall atmosphere on the train was relaxed and calm. The journey itself was punctual and the route through the Inn Valley and the Alps is simply beautiful - a real experience that you can only enjoy on a train. I arrived in Innsbruck relaxed and refreshed.

The journey was relaxed and pleasant from the very first moment. Boarding was quick, the routes on the train were clearly structured and the seat offered an immediate opportunity to lean back and relax. During the journey, the atmosphere was calm, ideal for reading or simply relaxing. The subdued lighting and soft seats contributed to a cosy atmosphere. Everything made a clean and well-organised impression. Especially in the toilets. I recommend the ride.

Advantages
IconFast journey and punctuality
IconGood comfort and equipment
IconNo changeover necessary
Disadvantages
IconNo on-board restaurant open and no control
IconPoor hygiene in the toilets
IconExpensive ticket
The journey from Munich to Innsbruck went smoothly and quickly, as the train was on time for the whole journey. Unfortunately, the train was very full, which is why I had to reserve a seat. In addition, there was no ticket inspection and no open on-board restaurant. The cleanliness was good, but the hygiene in the toilets was poor. The ticket was also very expensive. Otherwise, the seats were comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and a stable internet connection. Overall, I can recommend the route as I didn't have to change trains.
Advantages
IconComfort
Disadvantages
IconPersonnel
On such a longer journey, comfort and equipment are particularly important to me, and these were definitely provided. My seat was clean, I had enough legroom and my seat was cosy. There was no lack of facilities either, both wifi and power sockets were available. The train also kept to the timetable and arrived on time. I didn't have to change trains. Only the staff were a bit unfriendly. Nevertheless, I can definitely recommend it
Advantages
IconFunctioning sockets
IconShort journey time
Disadvantages
IconPoor wifi
I liked the journey very much because there were no delays and the power sockets were very useful because I had to charge my mobile phone during the journey. The price-performance ratio was fine in my opinion. I also liked the fact that the train was very clean and the staff were also very nice. However, I found it bad that the wifi didn't work well, which didn't allow me to watch a film during the journey. I also found it bad that I had to change trains. Despite this, I reached my destination in a short time.
Advantages
IconShort journey time
IconGood wifi
Disadvantages
IconDirty seats
What I really liked about this trip was that I reached my destination in a very short time. I also found the price-performance ratio very good for this short arrival time. The good wifi, which worked the whole time on the train, made it possible for me to watch films during the journey. Unfortunately, the seats were dirty, which I didn't like. I reached my destination in a short time despite changing trains.
Advantages
IconComfortable
IconInternet
Disadvantages
IconPrice
I travelled from Munich to Innsbruck on Eurocity 287 in March 2023. The journey took less than two hours and there was a slight delay in Austria. I didn't book a seat reservation, but there were plenty of seats available. I ordered a coffee and the price was acceptable. The cleanliness of the toilets was fine. The internet connection worked and was fast.
Advantages
IconGood connection
Disadvantages
IconDelays
I travelled to Innsbruck on the EC 287. The journey itself was very pleasant, but it smelled of alcohol in some compartments as I travelled through and the toilets were not the cleanest. However, my compartment was relatively clean and the noise level on the train was okay. Unfortunately, there was a slight delay at one stop, which pushed my arrival time back.
Advantages
IconPersonnel
Disadvantages

I was particularly surprised that the staff were always helpful. The sanitary facilities were very clean and hygienic. I could also find the same hygiene on the benches and in the compartments. The price I paid online for the ticket was definitely fair. I was also very happy when the train arrived and departed on time.
Advantages
IconNo change
IconEasy booking
IconFast arrival
IconGood wifi
Disadvantages
IconSlight delay
What I found great about this journey was that the ticket was very easy and cheap to book. I also thought it was great that I didn't have to change trains and that the wifi worked perfectly. The staff were also very friendly and the toilets were clean. The train was a little late, but that wasn't a problem.
Advantages
IconNo change
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctual
The ICE journey from Munich to Innsbruck was excellent. The service was first class, the seats comfortable and the train clean. Once there, I was very surprised by the wifi. But there are also negative points. Firstly, the train is very unpunctual. We had to wait half an hour longer on the platform because the train was late. However, the hour and a half journey was not too long. In general, a relaxing journey through a beautiful landscape.
Advantages
IconNice people
Disadvantages
IconJust a little dirty
I was travelling on the EC 87 for about two hours. It was pleasantly quiet on the train, but a bit dirty, especially at the entrance doors. But otherwise I found the journey quite nice, especially the beautiful view from the train. I was able to concentrate on my work.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconWIFI
The journey was a little longer than expected, there was a slight delay plus the train stopped a few times. I got on the train and was asked for my ticket, I showed the ticket, I sat down in my seat, the seat was occupied by a man, I politely asked him to leave, sat down and did my work. The price of the ticket was a bit expensive, I didn't use the toilets this time and the wifi wasn't working. But the whole journey was very relaxed, which is why I give the whole journey four out of five stars
Advantages
IconSimple booking
Disadvantages
IconToo expensive
In my opinion, the ticket was overpriced for this short journey time, but booking the ticket online was very easy. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to change trains and was therefore able to reach my destination very quickly. In any case, I thought it was great that the wifi worked perfectly and the toilets were clean.
Advantages
IconComfortable
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconDelays
The journey from Munich to Innsbruck was a mix of comfort and stress. The train offered a pleasant journey with good service and cleanliness. However, there were delays which made the journey time longer. The value for money was acceptable, although I would have expected a little more for the comfort offered.
Advantages
IconPunctual
IconNice conductor
IconComfortable seats
The journey took about 2 hours. The conductor was very friendly and I found the seats comfortable. We arrived at our destination station Innsbruck Hbf on time. The train was very clean. The toilet was also in perfect condition. There was a socket that could be used for charging. I didn't have to change trains and stayed seated on the train. It was very quiet, so I could relax and work.
Advantages
IconPersonnel
Disadvantages
IconNone at all
I would like to emphasise that the train was on time to the minute. It is also important to say that the staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to answering questions. The toilets and the compartment were kept very hygienic and clean. There were no problems when buying the ticket and the price was very fair. Finally, I would like to mention that I give it five stars and recommend the journey.
Advantages
IconFast drive
IconGood price
Disadvantages
IconHygiene was not really good
I travelled to Innsbruck on the EC81. As I usually only travel on ICE trains, I wasn't expecting much from a regional train, so I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately, the hygiene wasn't really good as there was still rubbish on the floors and service is something you rarely see on regional trains. Otherwise, the journey was quite pleasant and I was also satisfied with the price I paid
Advantages

The journey went very well. To my delight, my train was not delayed and was on time. There was a very relaxed and laid-back atmosphere on the train, which is an important part of the comfort. I bought my ticket online and was able to pay from the comfort of my own home. As a result, I give the train journey my recommendation and 5 out of 5 possible rating units.
Advantages
IconFast connection
IconClean train
Disadvantages
IconPoor wifi
My journey from Munich to Innsbruck was quite relaxed. The train was not delayed for the entire journey and was also quite fast. I found the cleanliness of the carriages particularly praiseworthy. The wifi occasionally broke down, but that wasn't too bad on this short journey.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconNo negative aspects
The journey was a complete success. The train was very punctual and the staff were super friendly. The train itself was very hygienic and comfortable. It is important to mention that the internet on the train was constant and fast. I can't remember any negative experiences on the journey. Buying the ticket online went smoothly and I think I paid a good price. Recommendation.

IconPunctuality
Just a few weeks ago I had to travel from Munich to Innsbruck. Unfortunately, the train didn't arrive on time at all. It was so badly delayed that I missed my connecting train. The train was also very full and I didn't have a very comfortable seat. Apart from that, there was an overpriced on-board bistro, which meant I could at least eat. There was also good wifi on board. All in all, a good train connection.
Advantages
IconAlpine panorama
IconComfort in 1st class
IconWIFI
Disadvantages
IconLockers in Salzburg Quite expensive
I travelled from Munich via Salzburg to Innsbruck on the RJX 63 and RJX 864 railjets. The journey time for the first leg was just over an hour and a half, the second an hour and three quarters. The trains were on time, so I had plenty of time to explore the beautiful city of Salzburg. It was just a shame that the lockers at the station were quite expensive. On the train itself, I enjoyed the comfort and quiet in 1st class, the seats were comfortable and offered plenty of space. It was very clean. I had used my Interrail ticket, for which I didn't need a seat reservation.
