Aberdeen is a city in the north of Scotland, known for its bustling industry and Maritime Museum. Falkirk is located in the southern lowlands of Scotland, situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh. It is easy to travel between the two areas, by bus or by train. Journey times can last from between 2 hours to 5.5 hours.
Train: There are several train services that run from Aberdeen to Falkirk. The first service leaves early in the morning before 05:30 a.m. and runs throughout the day until after 09:00 p.m., with a journey time of around 3 hours. Services are provided by ScotRail and Virgin trains East Coast, and all services have one change. Trains depart from Aberdeen's only train station on Guild Street, which is in the centre of the city, and arrive at Falkirk's Grahamston and Falkirk High stations.
Bus: There is only one coach service between Aberdeen and Falkirk. It leaves first thing in the morning, after 07:00 a.m. and has a journey time of around 5-6 hours. The service is provided by National Express and involves two changes. The coach departs from Aberdeen's Guild Street bus station, which is right by the train station. It arrives at Falkirk's Calendar Street bus station, in the centre of the town. Both are easily accessible on foot, or by car.
