The journey time of about five hours for this route is absolutely justified, plus I didn't have to change trains. The hygiene on the train was very good! There was also catering, which I also liked. Unfortunately, the train was quite full at times, so perhaps another carriage could be added in the future.

We recently went to Cologne by Deutsche Bahn train. We spent 2 days there. We booked in advance on the internet. It worked very well. The train arrived on time in Norden and was only very lightly loaded the entire way. This made the journey very pleasant. The staff contact was short but very friendly. Everything was very clean and the technology also worked well.
Advantages
IconIt was a pleasant trip
Disadvantages
IconTrain had made several unscheduled stops
We recently travelled with Deutsche Bahn by IC from Norden to Cologne. The train was on time at Norden main station and we were able to start our pleasant journey. The train was occupied with only a few people the whole journey. Overall, everything was very clean, including the toilets. The air-conditioning became a bit uncomfortable over time because it got too cool. Unfortunately, the train had to make several unscheduled stops just before Cologne. But overall a very pleasant experience.

We booked our journey from the north to Cologne in advance. We chose the direct connection without changing trains. The train pulled into the station on time and we were able to travel through to Cologne very comfortably, even in 2nd class. The power sockets and also the air conditioning worked well, making travelling more comfortable. Ticket control was halfway through and was very friendly, patient and pleasant. Toilets were very clean as was the rest of the train. Would book again at any time.
