The train ride from Eisenach to Erfurt was an absolute highlight of my trip! From start to finish, I was pleasantly surprised and spoiled throughout. The train's good facilities, especially the available wifi, the comfortable seats, the friendly staff, and the cleanliness made this trip with my Germany ticket an unforgettable excursion.
Advantages
IconDirect drive
IconNo stopovers
IconQuiet ride
Disadvantages
IconOften delayed
I made the journey from Eisenach to Erfurt on the ICE. Alternatively, you could also take the local train, but it usually takes a little longer and probably depends on the desired departure time. In the morning, the train is mainly used by commuters, which also makes for a quiet atmosphere. There is no need to change trains, as the train goes directly to Erfurt without a stopover (ICE).
Advantages
IconGood timing
IconFriendly staff
IconOn time
Disadvantages
IconICE relatively expensive compared to local transport
IconAccording to
IconToilets dirty
Trains (local and long-distance) run very frequently on this route. You save about 15-20 minutes by taking the ICE, but you pay a lot more for it. The train was on time and the train staff very friendly. Unfortunately it was a bit noisy, although it was not that crowded. The toilets were also quite dirty for an ICE.
Advantages
IconPrice
Disadvantages
IconFailures
Unfortunately, I don't have good memories of my professional journey from Eisenach to Erfurt. It took me almost four hours for a journey of about 30 minutes. First the trains were late, then they finally broke down completely towards the end and the next train only arrived after more than three hours. But the train was very clean and I got a good seat. The price-performance ratio for the ticket is very good.
Advantages
IconVery fast
IconRelaxed and affordable
Disadvantages
IconI could not gather any negative experiences
Booking this connection went smoothly. I printed out the tickets and made my way to the main station. Once there, I found my platform very quickly thanks to the good signage. The train was on time and looked tidy. The seats were very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no wifi on the train, but there was electricity. There was a snack bar so I could get a fresh coffee. The toilet was up to code and tidy. I reached my destination very relaxed and quickly, my recommendation.
Advantages
IconVery comfortable
IconClean
Disadvantages
IconNone
The booking of this connection had gone smoothly. The journey was really relaxed and pleasant, thanks to the snack vending machine on the train, there was food and drink. The staff were friendly and were able to help me with my seat. The train was clean and looked tidy. I sat by the window and could watch the scenery, which made me forget the time. I can recommend this connection.
Advantages
IconQuickly reached
Disadvantages
IconSomewhat unclean
I use this connection very often, as it is my way to work. The train is often unpunctual, for which I can only give 4 stars. However, I quickly reached Erfurt main station. It is definitely quicker than being stuck in a traffic jam by car. It takes me just under 40 minutes to get there. Unfortunately, there is no wifi and no electricity on the train. But there is a fresh air supply and enough light. The toilets are clean and the ticket is relatively cheap. Definitely a quick route from Eisenach to Erfurt main station.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconVery good hygiene especially in the toilets
IconFast and free internet
Disadvantages
IconThe train was very unpunctual on departure and arrival
The train journey from Eisenach to Erfurt was satisfactory overall. The equipment was modern and comfortable, the seats very comfortable and clean, the service was friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience. The toilets as well as the bins were cleaned. There was no lack of power sockets or fast wifi. The staff was very friendly, especially at departure. The price-performance ratio was therefore right. The journey was very quiet, by the way, so it was easy to fall asleep without being disturbed. However, the train was very unpunctual, which clearly worsens the travel experience.
Advantages
IconOn time
Disadvantages
IconPoor wifi
IconExpensive
I took the train from Eisenach to Erfurt. First of all, I have to say that the wifi was pretty bad. The seats were also dirty. The staff there were quite nice, though. The best thing about the trip was that the train was not delayed at all. Both on arrival and departure. The toilets there were quite clean. On the whole, there were positive as well as negative aspects. However, the price was far too expensive. Therefore not recommended for people with less money.
Advantages
IconHygiene
Disadvantages
IconThe product has no weaknesses
I enjoyed the journey very much. The excellent hygiene and cleanliness in the compartment was particularly impressive. In addition, the train was always on time. The entire journey was smooth and quiet. The service staff was very nice. I can only recommend the trip.
Advantages
IconNice staff
Disadvantages
IconToilet defective
I am very happy with the journey. We arrived at our destination station on time and the staff were very nice. The train was very clean and our compartment was quiet. Power sockets were available, wifi was not. What was a pity was that one toilet was broken. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about.
Advantages
IconComfortable
Disadvantages
IconToilet defective
The journey was very pleasant. The train was very clean and we arrived at our destination station on time. The train staff were very friendly. I was able to charge my mobile phone using the sockets at our seat. It was also pleasantly quiet in my compartment. Unfortunately, the toilet was out of order.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconPersonnel
I was definitely surprised by the cleanliness on this trip. The sanitary facilities and the seating area were really well cleaned. Unfortunately, what I didn't quite like here was that the staff weren't quite as helpful as usual this time. Apart from that, the wifi was very fast and I had good reception the whole time. I can recommend the train journey.
Advantages
IconBeautiful view
IconFriendly staff
Disadvantages
IconExpensive ticket
On the train journey from Eisenach to Erfurt, I was immersed in a picturesque landscape characterised by green hills and rolling plateaus. The train glided gently over the tracks as I enjoyed the panoramic view from the window. The journey offered a pleasant mixture of relaxed tranquillity and the anticipation of arriving in Erfurt. The friendly train attendants ensured that everything ran smoothly and made the journey a pleasant experience. The train was also on time.
