Advantages
IconMultiple connections
Disadvantages
IconDoes not travel as often
The train journey from Munich to Dachau not only offers various connection options, but also interesting dynamics in terms of journey time and frequency. Although the S-Bahn, which runs every 20 minutes, takes 22 minutes to complete the route, it offers frequent departures, which increases travellers' flexibility. The regional train, on the other hand, is a faster option with a journey time of just 16 minutes. This speedy connection is undoubtedly attractive, especially when time is of the essence. However, it should be noted that the regional train only runs every hour. This requires more careful journey planning to ensure you don't miss your desired connection. However, the 16-minute journey time of the regional train is a notable advantage, especially for commuters or travellers on a tight schedule. The ability to get from Munich to Dachau in a short amount of time can help minimise the overall expense of the journey while providing a degree of convenience. The decision between S-Bahn and regional train therefore depends on the individual preferences and time requirements of passengers. Travellers who prefer a more frequent departure and can live with a slightly longer journey time will find the S-Bahn a practical option. On the other hand, those who appreciate a faster journey and are able to adapt to the hourly timetable of the regional railway are best served by this option. Overall, the train journey from Munich to Dachau offers a balanced selection of connection options that allow travellers to plan their journey according to their needs and preferences. Be it the regular S-Bahn frequency or the fast regional train connection - both options help to make the journey between the cities comfortable and efficient.

A very short journey, but still good. When the train arrived on time, it was already quite full, but there were still seats available. The journey was quite quiet and there was hardly any talking. As there was working wifi, I spent most of the time on my mobile phone. Then, after about twenty minutes, the train arrived on time. I think the price-performance ratio is good.
Advantages

Disadvantages

The trip was very nice. The wifi reception was excellent. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Another positive aspect is that the train was very clean and hygienic. It was quiet on the 20-minute journey and I was able to relax well. The train was on time and there was no need to change trains. To summarise, I would recommend the train journey and find it very relaxing.
Advantages
IconVery short
Disadvantages
IconNone
The journey took very little time and was quite pleasant. The train arrived on time and also arrived on time. It was clean and tidy. The ticket inspectors were friendly. The best thing was the view as you leave Munich and it gets more and more rural. I was happy with the value for money. I was also very happy that I could escape the traffic jams in the city.
