About
Hansa Destinations was a Swedish ferry line operating between Nynäshamn and Rostock, Germany, offering both passenger and freight services. Launched in August 2021 as a subsidiary of Rederi AB Gotland, the service aimed to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to road transport by shifting freight to sea, thereby reducing emissions by at least 20%. The route was operated by the M/S Drotten ferry, with some sailings also calling at Visby. However, due to high fuel costs and low cargo volumes, Hansa Destinations suspended its services in 2023.
