Caf\u00e9 Gerbeaud is a traditional coffee house in the style of the Wilhelminian period\u2014with stucco, chandeliers and wooden furniture. The magnificent, Neo-Gothic parliament building\u2014with its 365 turrets by Imre Steindl\u2014sits on the banks of the Danube and is charmingly illuminated in the evening.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oldest bridge in Budapest, the Sz\u00e9chenyi L\u00e1nch\u00edd, is a popular photo op and just as impressive whether day or night. Before it was built in 1849, boats had to be interconnected to get from Buda to Pest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most dramatic view of the city is promised at Fisherman&#8217;s Bastion. This neo-Romanesque monument, completed around 1905, is within sight of the palace. Opened in 1918, it enchants with Art Deco architecture and an Art Nouveau gallery.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the Jewish quarter is the main draw for young creatives and artists. In addition to modern street art, the famous ruin pubs can be found here with Szimpla Kert as the most popular. Within the walls of dilapidated buildings you can dance to electronic music, enjoy a long drink and lose yourself in the midst of art installations. Our tip: Purchase one of the watercolor prints of Budapest from G\u00e1bor Vit\u00e1ris.
