Pro
IconLocal transport included
Cons
IconWifi/LTE connection not sufficient for working
Relaxed direct connection from Berlin to Munich on the ICE. Competitive price thanks to BahnCard 50 with €77.50 (compared to the flight... because here you still have to pay for an S-Bahn ticket). It's nice that local transport is included when booking with BahnCard 50 and so no ticket had to be booked for the onward journey in Munich (complicated fare system).
Pro
IconVery eager staff
IconArrived almost on time
Cons
IconTrain overcrowded
IconOnly 2 WCs intact in the whole train
I booked the trip in 1st class and unfortunately it was completely booked up to the last seat. The problem was that previous trains to Munich had been extremely delayed or cancelled altogether and were busy anyway due to the pre-Christmas period. The staff were very friendly and courteous despite the enormous crowds, which I found admirable. On the train, unfortunately, only 2 toilets were functional, which were located at the other end of the train, which led to large queues. The on-board bistro was unfortunately also completely overcrowded. We arrived about 20 minutes late. Great praise to the staff - the railway should work again on the operational procedures (especially during the Christmas period).

I travelled from Berlin to Munich by ICE about 7 months ago. The journey was very relaxed, it was very quiet on the train and the seats were also very comfortable. There was also wifi and power sockets. What was also good was that you didn't have to change trains. In addition, the journey was quick. Unfortunately, the train was 10 minutes late. And the ticket was expensive.
Pro
IconClean train
IconSuper view
Cons
IconTrain delay
The facilities were actually quite normal, my seat had two power sockets, which is above average, and I didn't need wifi, so I don't know if there was any. Also, the train was nice and warm (almost too warm) and had comfortable seats, so I can't complain. Moreover, my reserved seat was still free for a train, the hygiene on the toilets and on the floor was very good. Moreover, I can't complain about the price either.
Pro
IconPunctuality
Cons
IconThe product has no weaknesses
I recently had to travel from Berlin to Munich and decided to take the train. This was a very good decision as the whole section was thoroughly cleaned and there was good wifi reception. There were also two power sockets for charging electronic devices. The staff were also very friendly and there were no difficulties during the journey. I can only recommend the trip to everyone.
Pro
IconPunctuality of the train
IconStaff was very friendly
IconSeat reservation worked without any problems
Cons
IconToilet paper not available in all WCs
IconWifi did not work from time to time
In general, I enjoyed the train journey very much because the staff was again very friendly and also asked very often if you wanted to order something to eat or drink. I also visited the on-board bistro during the journey and there was no long waiting time and I was served immediately. The food in the on-board bistro was also very tasty and definitely worth the money. The train was not particularly busy, which is very pleasant as I also had to work during the train journey. The only two negative parts I can cite was that the wifi didn't always work and there wasn't toilet paper in all the toilets, but all in all a really good trip.
Pro
IconGood hygiene
Cons
IconPunctuality
The journey was very pleasant overall. The entire compartment had been thoroughly cleaned and the wifi reception was also excellent. There were also 2 power sockets, which was a great advantage. The service staff were very friendly. The only negative aspect is the lack of punctuality. Otherwise, I can only recommend the trip.
Pro
IconVery comfortable
IconUnbeatable price
IconNo traffic jam
Cons
IconNone
My journey from Berlin Hauptbahnhof in brackets deep started at 12:30 and I arrived after 4 1/2 hours at 17:00. The ICE was on time. Everything was very clean, including the toilets. There was wifi on the train all the time and I was able to do some work on the side. There was also something to eat in the on-board restaurant. Cleanliness was always a given.
Pro
IconDirect connection
Cons
IconNot on time
My trip by ICE to Munich started 30 minutes later than planned. On the other hand, you can get from Berlin central station to Munich central station in less than 5 hours - with plenty of space and good service in the board bistro. Wifi was not always available, especially in the first part of the trip (through Brandenburg) you couldn't rely on always having a connection (not even via mobile phone), luckily I was able to work offline a lot.
Pro

Cons
IconPrice high for short-term booking
The ICE journey from Berlin to Munich is the most comfortable and sustainable transport option. The train journey took me 4.5 hours plus a 20-minute delay. The service was very nice and the train compartment was clean. The wifi worked great and the sockets were easily accessible everywhere.

If you can do without your car, you should take the train. The train was clean and the staff were able to help you. The seats were too hard for me. The toilet was not clean and the door could not be locked. It was taken care of after I complained.

The equipment in terms of sockets and wifi only deserves a maximum of 3 stars. Unfortunately, the hygiene is not exactly the best either. The tables are really dirty from the previous traveller on every trip and you can only go to the toilet with disinfectant. Nevertheless, the service is very good and the staff are always courteous and helpful. The seats in 1st class are very comfortable.
Pro

Cons

IconRestaurant was not much choice
The journey was a little while ago now, but it was very good, there were definitely nice staff on the train and the toilets were very clean, which you can't always say. The duration of the journey was fine and the price was also perfectly acceptable. I would definitely recommend it.

The wifi and the equipment of the sockets unfortunately only deserve 3 stars. The connection is constantly interrupted. The hygiene in the toilets is poor. Tables are not wiped and are very sticky. The service from the staff is always friendly and helpful. The seats in 1st class are very comfortable, you can sit here very well and also stay on them for super long distances.
Pro

Cons

The train journey from Berlin to Munich was very pleasant. However, the train was very crowded that day as many other trains to Munich were cancelled. Nevertheless, the journey was reasonably punctual and I was able to pass the time well on the train using the wifi. The train staff were also very nice and the on-board bistro was well attended. I would definitely recommend travelling by train.
