Terravision was founded in Rome in 2002 and has since expanded, now running airport shuttle services throughout England, Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands. The company was formed in response to the boom of low cost flights in the early 1990s, and aims to provide a valuable, low cost service between low cost airports and city centres. It operates out of around 14 airports across Europe and transports an average of 10,000 customers per day. Terravision has also expanded its product range. It now includes services such as Terracafe lounge Bars (in Rome, Florence and London), which are intended to be reference points for both local residents and tourists alike. It also offers low cost airport car parking in Italy, although not yet in the UK, and as of October 2013, bus tour tickets thanks to a partnership with City Sightseeing. In the UK, Terravision services London’s Stansted and Luton, and Liverpool airports, providing connections to city centres, as well as drop off and pick up at a variety of tube and smaller bus stations. Terravision buses are easily recognisable large white coach buses with a logo painted across one side. Terravision provides service to passengers with disabilities when the passenger communicates this information at the time of booking. Children under 2 years old must sit on the lap of the adult accompanying them, children’s safety seats are not provided or permitted on these buses. Besides guide/assistance dogs, Terravision does not allow animals on its buses. Children up to 4 years old may ride free of charge. Terravision bus tickets can be booked either in person, or online. Booking online allows passengers to take advantage of specialised online offers.
