Cologne

Founded as a Roman colony back in the first century A.D., Cologne's heritage is visible today in the form of picturesque sceneries present throughout the city. Old Town is a stunning area to visit and explore, and features narrow alleyways, traditional German houses, and an old Town Hall, which was built in the late 16th century and considered one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture in Europe. On the other hand, Cologne is also Germany's fourth largest city today, and has all the trappings that you'd expect from a modern metropolis. The Rheinauhafen district, on the banks of the Rhine River has been newly redesigned and features a mix of apartments and offices along with popular restaurants, bars and galleries. In addition, with various theatres and venues for entertainment, Cologne attracts world-class musicals, plays and musicians.
