What’s on: London is a city that always has something going on, in June the place to be is the famous Chelsea Flower Show, a garden show that has been held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea for more than 103 years!

Summer is the best time of year to experience London’s parks and gardens, with multiple lakes dotted around the city to hire rowing boats and an ice-cream.

How to get there: London being the transport epicentre of the UK, has a ton of connections from all over the place, find yourself a cheap ticket to the big smoke here.

Lisbon, Portugal

What’s on: Lisbon is a recurring holiday hotspot across top travel lists, and it’s easy to see why! It’s stunning colourful buildings, its seaside location and of course, it’s the craziest night of the year the Eve of Santo Antonio, Feast Day of the Popular Saints.

On the 12th of June each year the streets of Lisbon come alive with all-night street parties to the sounds of Pimba music, beautifully dressed citizens parading through the neighbourhoods of the city and a fine array of traditional street food, three ingredients for the perfect party escape!

Amsterdam, the Netherlands

What’s on: June is the perfect month to visit the acclaimed ‘Venice-of-the-North’, typically known for its specific characteristics, there’s a lot more to Amsterdam than coffee culture and the red-light district.

Its heaps of activities including the Artis Royal Zoo, canal cruises and open-air cinemas by the water make Amsterdam the ideal city break destination for any travelling family.
